Committee Announcement
We are delighted to announce that we have been awarded our Active School Flag. All the children have been working hard for the past three years to earn the flag and we finally did it.
On Tuesday the 21st of May an inspector from the active schools came to see our school. His name was Tommy Lanigan. Leah Switzer, Rachel Fitzgerald, Sean Barrett, Patrick Mullaly, Romy Cleere, Emma Fitzgerald and Bridie Fitzpatrick our Active School Committee did a great job showing him around the school. They showed Tommy a slideshow of all the activities we do in the school and an Imovie of us playing and talking about the activities. They also showed him the P.E. room, the active school notice board and the active school slogan, the whole school playing yard games and performing dances. The junior room’s dance was Kung Fu Fighting and the senior rooms dance was Iko Iko. The whole school danced to Indian Moonlight and Bouje from Gonoodle. He was very impressed with all the work we had done.
